Chicken 1Kg, Biriyani rice 1Kg, Double Horse Biriyani masala – 3tbsp(50 g), Onion big 500g, Garlic 2 bulbs, Ginger 2 pieces, Green chilly – 10nos, Tomatoes- 3nos, Coriander, Mint & curry leaf as required, Salt, Ghee – 1 cup
How to prepare:
1. Fry onions in ghee till they turn golden brown and take half part of it for dressing. Add ginger garlic and green chilli paste, tomatoes, coriander and mint leaves. Add double horse biriyani masala, salt, cleaned chicken pieces and cook. Wash and soak rice for 15 mins. Fry the drained rice in Ghee till it becomes dry.
2. Add 71/2 cup (1 1/2 litre) water and boil. Mix the rice with chicken and pour the ghee over it. Cover with lid and cook for 10 – 20 mins depending upon the cooking time of rice. Add fried raisins, cashew nut, onion coriander leaves and serve hot.
